Food is one of the main reasons to come, with Mediterranean dishes, seafood and rice taking centre stage, but the setting and music are just as important. Its programme regularly features world-class DJs and premium artists, bringing a livelier energy as lunch flows into sunset. Unlike a traditional pool club, everything happens right beside the beach, creating an easy transition from lunch and sunbathing to cocktails and dancing. Sundays are particularly lively thanks to the Sunset Ritual, when the atmosphere builds towards evening.

For families, we’d look first at Siroko, Barbillón and Lucía Summer Club. They offer a more relaxed daytime atmosphere, while Siroko also has a dedicated children’s area. Bear in mind that the atmosphere at some venues changes later in the day, particularly at weekends.

During the day, stylish resort wear is usually a safe choice: swimwear with a cover-up, sandals and something you can comfortably wear to lunch. For clubs that become livelier later, such as La Plages Casanis and Playa Padre, people tend to dress up a little more. Always check the venue’s current dress code before visiting.
